Northwood is a neighborhood in Irvine to the north of Le Cafe Du Parc, about 8 minutes by car and 4.8 miles from our spot at 12000 Spectrum. If you live there and want a destination for the weekend, we offer one that does not feel like a mall. The café is inside The Park at Irvine Spectrum, with tables under trees and palms, a small iron-and-glass building and a calm, park-like mood. Open from 7 AM, we serve a simple breakfast of an Egg and Cheese Croissant or a Zaatar and Cheese Croissant, with a latte, americano or Turkish coffee. Later in the day, the BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Pesto Chicken Flatbread and Arugula Salad make a lighter meal, and the Acai Bowl is another fruit-forward choice. After dinner, order a Dubai Pistachio Crepe, a Dubai Waffle or a warm brownie with ice cream. Doors stay open until 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Parking is free, and so is a quiet corner for a laptop, since Wi-Fi is available. Kids and groups are welcome, and dogs can sit outside with you. For pickup, order at lecafeduparc.us/order.
