Working or studying near Irvine Spectrum? What to know about our café
Finding a place to settle in with a laptop is half the work of a good work day. You need Wi-Fi, a seat that is comfortable for a few hours, something to drink that does not cost a fortune, and a place that is open when your schedule is. Le Cafe Du Parc is a European-style café and crêperie in Irvine, and this post covers what to expect if you plan to work or study here.
Where we are
We are at 12000 Spectrum, Irvine, CA 92618, inside The Park at Irvine Spectrum. That is an apartment community, and the café sits in the middle of it. It is about a three-minute drive, 0.8 miles, from Irvine Spectrum Center, so it is close if you work, study or live nearby and want somewhere outside the shopping center. More about the area is on our Irvine Spectrum Center page.
Parking is free. There is a free lot, and free street parking is listed on our Google profile as well. Reviewers have also mentioned the apartment community's garage.
What the space is like
The café is an iron-and-glass, kiosk-style building. Most of the seating is outdoors, in a park-like setting under trees and palms. The atmosphere is casual and a little cozy.
A few details that matter for a work session:
- Wi-Fi. We have Wi-Fi, and our Google listing describes the café as good for working on a laptop. You can read more on our café with Wi-Fi in Irvine page.
- Outdoor seating. If you like fresh air and shade while you work, this is the draw. It also means the weather is part of the plan, so check the sky before you come.
- Groups and solo visits. The café is listed as good for groups and for kids, and it is also a popular place for solo dining.
- Dogs. Dogs are allowed outside.
- Accessibility. The café is wheelchair accessible.
- Payment. We accept cards and NFC payments.
We are a working café, not a library, so expect the normal sounds of people ordering and talking. If you need silence for a call or an exam, bring headphones.
Hours that fit different schedules
- Sunday to Thursday: 7 AM to 10 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 7 AM to 11 PM
Seven in the morning works for an early start before work or class. Closing at 10 PM most nights, and at 11 on Friday and Saturday nights, leaves room for an evening study session or a late dessert after a long day. If you are planning around finals, a deadline or a night shift, those hours give you a wide window.
What to order for a long session
A long session usually means several orders spread over a few hours. Here is a way to plan it, with menu prices.
Start with coffee
- Americano, $3.50. It comes with two shots for medium and three for large, and it is the lowest-priced coffee on this list, which suits a drink you want to sip for a while.
- Cafe Latte, $5.75. The standard milk-and-espresso drink, with two shots in a medium.
Switch to something different later
- Spanish Latte, $7. Espresso with condensed milk and cinnamon. It is sweeter, so it works as a mid-afternoon treat.
- Matcha Latte, $7. A pre-sweetened matcha drink, available hot or iced. It is a good choice if you want to cut back on coffee.
- Lemonade Refresh, $5.50. Lightly sweetened organic lemonade, served plain or made with a flavor or tea. It is a good drink for a warm afternoon outside.
Our full coffee and tea menu also includes chai, mocha, hot chocolate, cappuccino and more.
Eat something
- Avocado Toast, $5. One slice, with add-ons available if you want to build it up. This is a light breakfast.
- Egg and Cheese Croissant, $9. Served with egg, cheddar cheese and turkey bacon. It is the one to choose if you need a real breakfast before a long morning.
- Arugula Salad, $7.99. Arugula, blue cheese, strawberries, blueberries, balsamic glaze and Italian dressing. A lighter lunch.
You can see the rest, including flatbreads, sandwiches and burgers, on our savory menu.
A sample plan
| Time | Order | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Morning | Americano and Avocado Toast | $8.50 |
| Midday | Arugula Salad and Lemonade Refresh (medium) | $13.49 |
| Afternoon | Spanish Latte (medium) | $7.00 |
That adds up to $28.99 for a full day. Skip the lunch and you are well under $20.
If you want a break from work, our crêpes and waffles are on the menu all day. The Dubai Pistachio Crepe is $18 and is a good one to split with a study partner.
Order ahead
You do not have to wait in line to get started. Place your order on our online ordering page for pickup, then take your seat and open your laptop. Delivery is also available through the same page, with a fixed $6.99 fee, which can be handy for a team working nearby.
A few tips
- Arrive early if you want first pick of seats. We open at 7 AM. If you come later, look around the park before choosing.
- Charge your laptop first. Plan on battery power for the session.
- Bring layers. Outdoor seating changes with the weather and time of day.
- Reorder as you go. A second drink or a snack in the afternoon keeps a long session comfortable.
- Ask about allergens. If you have a food allergy, tell our team when you order.
